Hearing Attorney

 

The firm is currently seeking to hire a full-time Hearing Attorney to join our Social Security Department. This candidate will handle all aspects of Social Security Disability claims which involve intensive interaction with clients and representing clients at Social Security hearings. Candidates must have excellent writing and communication skills.

Medical Records Clerk

 

The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. This candidate must also pay strong attention to detail, have excellent time management skills, be able to multi-task and must be organized as we frequently work with cases where deadlines are critical.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Requesting records from medical facilities, schools or places of employment;
• Phone calls with clients to collect the necessary information to request records;
• Phone calls with facilities to follow-up on requested records;
• Sorting, scanning, and submission of records to the appropriate Social Security office;
• Data entry
• Preparing letters to the court outlining any outstanding records along with efforts to collect;
• Additional tasks as necessary

 

Must be proficient in MS Word and Outlook

 

Associates degree is preferred.

 

Experience is preferred, but not required.

Legal Assistant

 

The Law Offices of Kenneth Hiller seeks a Legal assistant to handle a high volume of federal and district court claims. The candidate must possess excellent phone skills, writing skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. This candidate must also be reliable as well as have the ability to handle confidential information.
Job duties include but are not limited to:

 

• Complete court forms
• Communicate with current clients via phone and/or email for status updates
• Request necessary documentation from clients
• Draft and prepare letters for clients
• Update case status in case management software
• Any additional tasks as needed to properly manage cases

 

Experience in a legal setting is preferred.

 

Education: Associates Degree required
